Art

Welcome to the Art Section! I started drawing ever since I was little, starting with crayons and now drawing on my iPad, and have since worked on a number of solo and collaborative projects.

I am particularly interested in digital art and use softwares such as Procreate, Photoshop, and Illustrator, but I also enjoy painting, printmaking, and collaging. Explore my portfolio, and feel free to get in touch with any questions.

Seagulls and Plastic Neckties 2022

Seagulls and Plastic Neckties 2022 Displayed in the GOJE Art Exhibition in the University of California Santa Cruz, focused on environmental protection. My artwork of a seagull portrays a satirical approach to spreading awareness of the plastic pollution in the ocean, by portraying this suffering seagull as participating in a fashion trend.

Become a Robot Today 2022

Become a Robot Today 2022 Featured in the Jim and Slug Collection in the McHenry Library's Special Collections in the University of California Santa Cruz. A response to the comic "Elektro" by Ivan Brandon, that highlights the increase in technology and the possibility that robots may replace humans, through a satirical advertisement.

All Eyes On Me 2021

All Eyes On Me 2021 Featured in the Kresge Power and Representation Magazine. The magazine focused on issues that deeply impact individuals. So this piece addresses the issue of the lack of understanding and education on social anxiety and the absence of easy accessible treatment for this social disorder, by portraying the raw emotions of one's experience. It shows the way it makes me feel like I am in the spotlight and the unwanted attention that comes with it.

Sunflowers in a Wagon 2020

Sunflowers in a Wagon 2020 Displayed at the Student Art Spaces' Hope Gallery, a virtual art exhibition focused on allowing artists to strive despite the COVID-19 pandemic. With a theme of hope, the artwork displays sunflowers growing from a wagon to highlight that plants can grow from any environment. In a way, it brings hope that even in mundane objects, there is still life and potential, waiting to be shown.
